For countries other than India, a visa fee is applicable.</li> <li>Old Passport, if applicable&nbsp;</li> </ol> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>While filling it out online, you will need:</p> <ol> <li>A valid passport</li> <li>45x35mm digital photo in jpeg format; thefrom the maximum size is 300kb</li> <li>Address in Bangladesh ( dormitory or apartment)</li> <li>Email Address</li> </ol> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENT VISA</strong></p> <p>OIA will help students obtain:</p> <ul> <li>Admission letter</li> <li>Recommendation letter for immigration or consulate concerned</li> <li>Non-employment certificate</li> <li>Positive verification report from the police.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Visa Extension:</strong></p> <p>For an extension of a student visa, students must contact OIA a month before the expiration date. OIA will provide three recommendation letters for the Passport and Immigration Office (at Agargaon) to submit the following documents along with the original and photocopy of the passport and visa and the original and photocopy of the passport page showing the last date of entry into Bangladesh.</p> <p>At the Passport and Immigration Office (Agargaon):</p> <ul> <li>Go to Counter #2 (of the Passport and Immigration Office) for the visa extension form.</li> <li>Submit all documents along with the filled-out form to Counter #1</li> <li>Deposit the required processing fee (varies from country to country) to the bank (Sonali Bank, Counter #4) located at the Passport and Immigration Office</li> <li>Submit all the documents along with the money receipt to Counter #3 and collect your passport delivery slip.</li> <li>The international student and the International Affairs Officer are contacted by an appointed SBP Officer (for verification of the student) for the visa extension.</li> <li>The following documents are required: <ul> <li>Recommendation letter (OEA)</li> <li>Offer Letter (Self)</li> <li>Registration Certificate of DU (OEA)</li> <li>Attendance Sheet (his/her respective department)</li> <li>Unofficial Transcript (Controller of Examinations)</li> <li>Studentship Certificate (Controller of Examinations)</li> <li>Passport Delivery Slip (Passport and Immigration Office)</li> <li>Foreign student list (OIA)</li> <li>Photocopies of Passport, visa and DU ID (Self)</li> <li>Attested photocopy of three recommendation letters for the visa extension (OIA)</li> </ul> </li> <li>OIA will help students with an appointment with the SBP Office (Malibagh). The international student can directly contact the SBP Officer and make an appointment with him/her.</li> <li>Students will fill out a basic information form for the SBP Officer.</li> <li>Contact the appointed SBP Officer to follow up on the progress of your application after 2/3 weeks. Once the visa extension is ready, the student is instructed to go to the Passport and Immigration Office.</li> <li>At the Passport and Immigration Office, the international student has to submit the passport delivery slip to Counter #2 and finally receive the extended visa.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Exit Visa:</strong></p> <p>If the international student needs to leave the country for urgent reasons prior to the visa extension, the student must apply for and be granted an exit visa.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
