a) 4-years Bachelor's degree and 1-year Master’s degree
b) In all examinations, 2nd Division/Class (minimum 50% marks) or C.G.P.A. 3.50 out of 5 and 3 out of 4
c) Candidates should have a 3-year bachelor's degree with a 1-year Master’s degree for admission in the PhD programme.
The higher studies sub-committee or faculty of the department or institute concerned will assess the eligibility of the candidates. Other requirements and conditions for registration under the regular system will also be applicable. The University authority will evaluate the degree equivalence of each candidate's submitted transcript.
The candidate must contact the supervisor or the head of the department concerned to finalise the research proposal. The supervisor must be of the rank of Professor or Associate Professor with a Ph.D. degree. Visit to FIND A SUPERVISOR.
Year 1: Course work followed by written examination.
Year 2: Candidates who have obtained 50% pass mark will be allowed to write thesis
under the guidance of research supervisor.

The candidates must/expected to have minimum two years of teaching experience at the Graduation level, minimum two years of research experience at any recognised Research organisation, or minimum two years of job experience at any government, private, autonomous, or semi-autonomous organisation.
The candidate must have at least two peer-reviewed research articles published in a recognised journal.
